Padded bras are one of the most popular innerwear styles in Pakistan — but if you've never worn one, or you're looking to upgrade from a basic bra, it can be hard to know what to expect. This guide covers everything: what padding actually does, the different types available, and how to pick the right one for your needs.
What is a Padded Bra?
A padded bra has soft foam or fabric inserts built into the cups. These inserts add shape, light coverage, and a smooth silhouette under clothes. Contrary to what many people think, most padded bras aren't about adding size — they're about creating a clean, rounded shape and preventing show-through under fitted clothing.
Types of Padding
Lightly Padded
A thin layer of soft foam, usually 5–8mm thick. Provides shape and coverage without adding much volume. The most comfortable option for all-day wear because it doesn't add significant bulk or heat retention.
Double Padded
Two layers of padding for a firmer, more defined shape. A double padded bra gives more lift and a rounder silhouette. Popular for wearing under fitted kameez, shirts, and formal outfits where you want a clean, smooth look. Our Double Padded Bra (Rs. 1,899) uses a hookless design that eliminates the discomfort of traditional back clasps.
What is a Hookless Padded Bra?
Traditional bras fasten at the back with metal hooks. A hookless bra uses soft, stretchy fabric that you step or pull into — there's no clasp at all. This makes it significantly more comfortable for extended wear, eliminates the risk of hooks digging into your back, and creates a cleaner silhouette under fitted clothes. Both our Double Padded Bra and Signature Set use a hookless design.
Padded Bra Sets
A padded bra set pairs a padded bra with a matching panty in the same colour and fabric. Our Signature Set (Rs. 2,799) is our most popular bundled option — available in Pink, Black, and Mustard in sizes 32–40. Sets are a practical choice because you get coordinated innerwear that's bought and washed together.
How to Choose the Right Padded Bra
A few questions to guide your decision:
- What will you wear it under? Fitted formal wear → double padded. Casual everyday wear → lightly padded or cotton.
- How long will you wear it? All day → prioritise comfort, consider hookless. Shorter periods → standard padded is fine.
- What's your priority — shape or coverage? Shape → double padded. Coverage only → lightly padded cotton.
- What season? Summer → padded bras retain more heat; consider a net or cotton bra instead. Winter → padded bras are ideal.
Care for Padded Bras
Padding can lose its shape if washed incorrectly. Always hand wash padded bras in cool water with mild detergent. Never wring or twist the cups — press gently to remove water and lay flat to dry in the shade. Avoid machine washing without a mesh laundry bag, and never tumble dry.
